blink-182 have scored their first ever chart-topping album with the brilliant ‘California’.

Usurping the omnipotent Adele from her chart throne, Mark, Travis and Matt stormed straight in at the summit with their seventh studio record.

Their previous chart peak was at number 4 with 2001’s ‘Take Off Your Pants and Jacket’, while 2011’s ‘Neighborhoods’ peaked at number 6.

blink’s longest serving member Mark Hoppus told OfficialCharts.com: “We’re so excited and thankful to be Number 1 in the UK.

“This is the first time we have ever got a Number 1, and we are super thankful to all of you for supporting us and we can’t wait to be there on tour next summer.”

We’ll wait for finalised news of those summer 2017 UK tour dates with baited breath! YES!

In other blink-182 news, tweed-bedecked folk types Mumford & Sons have swapped their usual attire to ‘take on’ blink in a hilarious spoof video.
